We’re pleased to announce dates for 2 of our photo classes this January!
Photo 101 – Wednesday, Jan. 14th, 7pm-9pm – Here in the store. $65 per student
Learn about the basics of photography. What is an f/ stop? What is aperture, ISO, and shutter speed and what does it have to do with exposure? What are the different camera shooting modes and when do I use what? This is a good starting point for those with no experience or those with experience who want to get beyond Program mode and learn to take control of the camera.
Portrait Studio Lighting – Wednesday, Jan 28th, 7pm-10pm – Here in the store. $100 per student
This class touches on all aspects of studio portrait lighting- studio spaces, backgrounds, types of lights, and types of light modifiers. While we will focus on lighting for people indoors, many of these techniques can be applied to object lighting and outdoor photography. You should have a good knowledge of the basics – exposure, shutter speed, ISO, and aperture. If you need a refresher, consider our Photo 101 class held 2 weeks earlier.
Space for both classes is limited, so we encourage you to pre-register to reserve your spot.
