Sony DSC-WX5=Great Pics

So we have had the Wx5 in stock for several weeks now.  I had have had plenty of experience with the previous model from Sony(WX1)  That alone was a wonderful camera, great enough that David, the new guy bought one and rode a bicycle across the country.  (See his new nifty tattoo)  This camera is specked out  very well.  It is one of just a few that comes with a really wide lens.  It has a 24mm equivalent wide lens, on the long end it is a 120mm. On top of that the aperture range is f/2.4-f5.9  so this will do wonders in low light.  Even when you have to use the 3200 ISO.   Sony has this new CMOS sensor they developed that has increased the image quality. Quite simply  Sony took the electronics of the sensor and put them below the pixel sight, instead of on top.  Sounds simple, but the other big guys are still doin it the old fashioned way!

My favorite stats for this camera is the sweep pano mode.  Back in the day you had to take tons of pics, try to line them up in the camera and still stitch them together post process.  So now with this sweep pano mode, just press the button, and move the camera across the screen.  Here is the pic

this is also available with the new Sony 3D technology.  When you hook it up to a 3D HDTV and put onthe goggles, bamm.  The pic jumps right off the screen.  The WX5 does not have the typical Sony Zeiss *T lens.  It has the new “G” lens.  This lens design goes back to the Minolta days.  Back in the Minolta Maxxum days, the “G” lens was their top in glass.  Better than what Canon had with their “L” glass.  This camera does not stop there.  So those interested in this camera come in and see me (Shelley).  Dont want to give it all away, i want to have something else to tell you about when you come see me.  Oh FYI the price of this little guy is $299

I look forward to showing this too you!
